My Journey of FaithOctober 13 Love without LovingHow are you going to love someone else when you can't even love yourself... so many of us find it very difficult to love ourselves as Christ Loves us... and yet we try to love others with the very same broken system of love that we think Love is... It is very hard to break through the barriers that we have set up to protect ourselves, and to allow someone else in... My Grandma McGuire said when I was about 15 or so that "it is better to of loved and lost than to never of loved at all" and so it is about at least taking the chance... being open to the possibilities that - that someone special may not love you as much as you love them or even love you back... but we are to at least try... to Love as Christ Loved Us... which means we are ALL LOVED By Christ, God loves us so much so God sent Christ to prove just how much... are we that committed to loving someone else that much... let alone ourselves... I am not saying to be self - loving and forget others around you... but you really must Love yourself before you can even attempt to Love others... and as genuinely as Christ Loves us... Unfailing, Steadfast & Everlasting... Love with all that you are... God created each of us - so differently - so unique - so much like em... Which could point out the way for us that even though God never changes, the way God interacts with each of us is as individual and personal as God's One on One relationship with Christ... and is available for us too... One on one we begin to see all the Love God has given to us... and how we are to be giving it to others... notice there are no rules - simply a gift... accept it - Truly Love Yourself and Love will overflow so abundantly through you into and onto others - and from them to still others - none of us ever know the fullness of our reach... who has watched you from a distance and saw nothing but Love... Terry McGuire October 12 the answers are within youTerry got a message that on this day, God wants him to know...
... that the answers are within you.
See what God wants you to know... You're chasing in the wrong field. What you are looking for is inside of you, not 'out there'. Take a few days off to become quiet and look within, and you will find it. and so this got me thinking...
"I am with you always" - Christ in us - God in Christ - hummm... God provides for our every need even when we fail to recoginize God for it - our wisdom, our strength, our joy, our sorrow, our relationships with God and with others... "life is a journey best shared with Love & we never journey alone, inspite of ourselves, we are Loved & Cherished - now go & do the same... "the answers are with in us because God is with in us"
Terry September 21 we are what He has made us;Ephesians 2:10a - For we are what He has made us; - so again we see that God has made us - just as we are - then we are told it is for His good pleasure, and yet over and over again so many keep trying to make or turn us into something we can never be - the only thing we can do is to live a life that brings Glory to our Creator - Thankful that God has made you - made me - exactly the way we are. I once read; Our life is our Gift from God, what we do with it is our gift to God: don't let anyone destroy all the wonderful aspects of who you are - God took great pains to make each of us so unique no 2 have the same fingerprints or the same makeup and yet we can find so much in common because we are family; we are all truly in this together. Uplifting another takes less energy than does trying to destroy - let us always find ourselves loving one another till LOVE becomes ALL we know, ALL we feel, ALL we share - All we accept from others... September 05 Whats that costing you...So what is that costing you... do you know? Recently I was made aware or reminded of the fact that membership had/has it's costs... to the local church, the covering body and the ultimate – Christs Universal Church... and as members (we have/there comes) certain responsibilities – financially & morally, individually & collectively... and so I was wondering “whats is that costing you”... do you know? & “is it worth it”... (what do you get in return?) Is it... a temporal or eternal reward... with the cost of fellowship are you getting your fullest value out of the memberships worth? Are you being Spiritually fed, Spiritually led and are you Spiritually full or are you Spiritually starving... are you starving for fellowship with others so much that you would fore go the ultimate relationship with Christ and His Church... I can't tell you where it is... where to Worship, where to Fellowship, where to grow Spiritually... God has promised us the Holy Spirit will lead and guide us into all Spiritual Truths, lead us into all that God has awaiting us, individually and collectively... we must always remember it is to Gods Glory that any of us are able to do anything lasting past ourselves. If God has led you to Ministry – God will also provide every single tool, every single word, every single thing, you will ever need to complete the task – no matter how great or how small – we must place our complete trust in Him who has called us out of this world and into the ministry & fellowship with each other through Christ & into the everlasting Kingdom of God... Scripture tells us to freely give as you have been given... and so nothing – absolutely NOTHING belongs to us... we are only mere stewards of its (whatever it is's) usefulness... (let me repeat this) freely give as you have been given and so nothing – absolutely NOTHING belongs to us... we are only mere stewards of its usefulness... what has God blessed you with... is it helping others or are you saving it for a rainy day... today this very moment is the only promise you have... your very next breath could be your last... so what are you waiting for... share in the ministry as you are led to... share the resources that God has entrusted you with... give of yourselves so completely that you have forgotten yourself... God will take care of that... so again I ask - “what is that costing you & is it worth it” Rev. Terry J. McGuire 09/05/09 |
